Today, Al Yah Satellite Communications Company PrJSC (Yahsat) and SES, announced the appointment of Sami Boustany as CEO of YahLive, the HD television satellite platform for the Middle East, Europe, North Africa, and South West Asia regions, in place of the former CEO, Mohamed Youssif. Currently Chief Strategy Officer of Yahsat, Sami brings extensive expertise in driving strategic growth and will continue to work with the YahLive team to position the company as an exclusive HD satellite TV operator.
With 15 years of experience in the satellite industry, Sami has been involved with YahLive since its inception. In his new role, he will be overseeing the day-to-day operations while focusing on YahLive's growth objectives.

Broadcasting from the High-Power and state-of-the-art Yahsat Y1A satellite at 52.5o East, YahLive is a joint venture company between Yahsat, the United Arab Emirates-based satellite communications company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mubadala Development Company, and the global satellite operator SES. Fashion One, the international channel for fashion, entertainment and lifestyle, is now available live for the first time across the Middle East and North Africa on the YahLive television platform in true 1080i native High Definition.
The international television network caters to the audience in the region with content covering the very latest in fashion, entertainment, luxury brands and lifestyle news, while profiling A-list celebrities, holiday destinations and red carpet events. Fashion One also delivers a strong line-up of original programming from reality shows, documentaries to beauty tips and street styling.
The channel will debut with two original programmes, 'Design Genius' and 'Fashion Frontline'. Fashionistas across the region can tune into Fashion One simply by adding a small 40-50 cm satellite dish directed at the YahSat Y1A satellite at 52.5o East. YahLive carries one-half of MENA's approximately 100 HD channels and aims to add 15-20 more channels before year-end 2013.

There were fourteen category winners and companies were highly commended in a number of categories. The winners were chosen by an independent panel made up of five industry figures with extensive regional and international experience.
