Mounir is Executive Director of Information & Communications Technology (ICT), responsible for Mubadala’s satellite communications, information technology and telecommunications portfolio.

He has over 25 years of international business experience and has held high-level positions in sectors including investment and development, real estate, healthcare, retail and venture capital.

Masood Mahmood is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Yahsat, the UAE-based satellite communications operator, a wholly owned company of the Mubadala Development Company. In addition to this position, he is a Board Member of the EMEA Satellite Operators Association, the global satellite industry trade association. He is also a Board Member of DU Telecommunications company as well as Chairman of DU Investment committee.

Since his appointment as CEO in 2013, Masood has managed the full deployment of Yahsat’s operational capabilities on both government and commercial fronts, expanding the business’ global footprint to provide first-class satellite communication solutions.

Since joining, Masood has carried on the business trajectory extending the growth of the company into 17 new markets, including Brazil in 2017, as well as leading its aspirations on being the region’s best-in-class multipurpose satellite operator. The company continues its key role to support the UAE Government, as well as furthering its commercial reach with its various services from YahClick satellite broadband, YahLink IP trunking & backhaul, as well as Yahlive TV broadcasting (Yahlive is a joint venture with SES).

Appointed as a CEO in June 2013, Masood brings with him a wealth of experience having served on the board of several other companies from financial, industrial and manufacturing industries. He served as a Deputy CEO at Yahsat prior to his appointed as a CEO, and also worked with Mubadala, as their Vice President of Mubadala’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) unit, where he was in charge of corporate strategy and asset management of the ICT unit’s portfolio. This included companies such as DU, EMTS, Injazat, as well as Yahsat. In addition to this, Masood also has significant experience in investment management and business development having served for more than a decade at a number of high profile government and semi-government entities in the UAE, such as Dubai Holding and the Executive Office of HH Sheikh Mohamad bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Masood holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Boston University, Massachusetts and holds an MBA in Finance from McGill University, Montreal, Canada.

Mr. Sabbagh is the President & CEO of SES, and the Chairman of the Executive Committee. He is also the Chairman of SES ASTRA, and is a member of the Board of Directors as well as the Risk and Audit Committee of O3b. Additionally, he is a member of the Yahlive Board of Directors. He served on the Board of Directors of SES from April 2011 until August 2013 and was a member of the Audit and Risk Committee of SES for the same period.

Mr. Sabbagh is also a visiting professor in technology and innovation management and member of the Academic Council for the School of International Management at Écoles des Ponts et Chaussées ParisTech (Grandes Écoles) in France.

Deepak Mathur is Senior Vice President, Commercial at SES for Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. He is responsible for driving revenues and growth in some of the most dynamic markets in the world, while providing customers with world-class satellite services and support.

With close to 20 years of experience in the industry, Deepak has a keen understanding of customers' satellite requirements and works directly with them to ensure they have the satellite capacity they need to achieve their ambitions.

Deepak first joined SES in 2001 and brings sales, marketing, operations and executive experience to his position. Prior to SES’s purchase of GE Americom, Deepak was Managing Director at Americom-Asia Pacific, a joint venture between General Electric and Lockheed Martin, where he helped to establish key strategic markets for the company across Asia. He has also held leadership and sales roles covering the Asia-Pacific region with Echostar, NagraVision and Loral. He also serves on the board of directors at YahLive, a partnership between SES and YahSat.
